Libraryhack participants have access to the State Library of Victoria’s online image collection to use for photo mashups. You can directly access these images in the State Library of Victoria catalogue.
Many images include high quality TIFF versions which offer great potential for reuse. The images available in the catalogue are free for public use if marked “Terms of use/Copyright: This work is out of copyright”. In your search results choose the option for “Show only: Online Resources”. For more information visit our Pictures page.
We have also released a dataset which includes high resolution images on the Australian government data repository. You have access to around 300 000 high resolution images in the one file using this dataset.
